Welcome to “THE PRESS RELEASE”

Hi Dolls!

Welcome to The Press Release. This is a blog space cultivated to share all things hair; tips and tricks that you can use in your spare time, game changing product recommendations for your healthy hair journey and education on extensions and “salon to home” hair care. Now let’s get into the “WHO”, “WHAT”, “WHEN”, “WHERE” and “WHY” The Press Release started!

WHO? First, let me introduce myself. I am Nadiyah Guess, a 10-year vet in the cosmetology game. I have a degree in Economics from Spelman College, where my concentration was Organization and Management. After receiving degree, I went on to complete my cosmetology and extension certifications in 2011-12, while opened my first salon, Elite Images. During this time, extension services for naturally curly or coarse hair texture where pretty limited, so I began exploring options outside of traditional sew ins and quick weaves. It was there that my passion for versatile, undetectable extensions began, and I developed a love for pairing those extension methods with the healthy hair journey designed specifically for each client.

I specialize in traditional sew ins, microlinks, i-tip, and tape-in extensions for all hair texture. What sets me apart from other stylist with these specialties is that I provide in depth consultations where we have an honest conversation about you desired hair journey and I give recommendations about a long-term care.

I’m a mom of soon-to-be two beautiful children, so convenience is a HUGE part of my personal beauty regimen. Keeping this in mind when working with clients, helps when trying to incorporate lifestyle as a key piece in consultations and recommendations.

WHAT? So… what comes to mind when you think of a press release? And what can you expect to find while scrolling through? Up to date beauty intel, hot of the presses, from an expert in the field. This blog will feature a series of informational content and DIY looks, recipes and products, as well as a look into some of the experimental natural hair remedies that have worked during my career behind a chair. The content is geared primarily to ladies with busy lives who desire style and versatility in their hair care regimen and aftercare best practices.

WHEN? Updates and new content will be available weekly. If there is content you would like to see, drop me a quick note in the CONTACT US section. I’d love to hear what info my community is looking to learn!

WHERE? For services, I take clients in the Philadelphia and Atlanta metro areas. I have residence in both and provide in home and concierge services.

WHY? I created this blog because I think along with providing services and products; education and at home maintenance are something I’m passionate about and is a limited missing piece in the hair industry now. I want to create a place where clients and followers can go for helpful tips on maintaining their mane!

So sit back, grab a glass of wine, or for my expecting mamas fruit water in a wine glass (lol) and enjoy what’s new to press!
